Disturbances

McCartney and me #3 of 3

The last time I saw McCartney, I heard him too, four miles away. Everyone else within a ten mile radius did too!

My mate and I decided that if McCartney had the right to disturb us, then we had the right to disturb the peace by sneaking into the mega-gig at a nearby stately home. So that's what we did, surreptitiously, with our sons (who only went along for the Floyd!)

McCartney obviously didn't recognise me, well I could hardly expect him to, as we were hiding at the back of the park. But then freebies can't be choosies!

Secrets

McCartney and me #2 of 3

After I'd met McCartney and discovered our shared secret... that of bestowing Dior Dior on our significant others at Christmas.... I was certain that sales of this addition to Dior's portfolio would rocket. But our secret would stay secret. The company withdrew it from sale!

Having scoured the country for the last traces of Dior Dior, and in desperation, I wrote to Dior, in French, requesting either a relaunch or the recipe. I expected rien by way of a reply. But no, they sent me the recipe, in French.

McCartney could have bought the factory, but I had the recipe!

She'll love you

McCartney and me #1 of 3

I first saw McCartney in a shop in Jermyn Street, St James's. A chemist to the gentry... and me and Paul.

Christmas was coming; time to splash out on my wife's favourite fragrance, Dior Dior, which I'd introduced her to the Christmas before.

I took no notice of the person standing next to me as I asked for Dior Dior, until he turned and spoke to me.

"Good choice" came the gentle Liverpudlian compliment. I noticed he was holding the same perfume as me.

"Thank you" I replied, suddenly realising with whom I shared the same taste.

Yeah, yeah, yeah!
