Dumb and dumbfounded, they walked down a street that looked like many other streets, except this one they could see. This made it quite different than the others that could only be imaginary thoughts in their minds. It made them dumb and dumbfounded indeed, since all of made so much sense, which made no sense, which made perfect sense in every sense. And forever since then. One looked at the other and said, "What are we doing here? What are we doing with our lives?" The other looked back and said, "Nothing, just nothing. And isn't that lovely, just lovely?"

So clever on a number of different levels, and the sudden upbeat ending is superb. Wonderfully enjoyable!
