The letter arrived.
I read it and wept, then thought about how to escape.
The walls, I knew, were too tall to climb, and even if that hadn’t been the case, the broken upside down bottles protruding from the ridge would make any man cringe and think twice.
Feigning decease or taking a hostage demanded skills I did not possess.
Pacing the space between steel door and shitter I finally got it.
I laid down on my bed, closed my eyes and started to hum.
At first, nothing happened. Then slight vibrations ran through my body.
Finally, I just disappeared.
