The vampire hunter found his coin pouch nearly empty. He tracked down a vagrant. "I have a job for you," he said, leading the vagrant to his basement.
There, he shoved the vagrant to the chained, hungry vampire. In the morning, he had a new vampire to kill. He cleaned the dust and took the fangs to the office for the bounty.
"We just ended that program," the clerk said. The hunter cursed. There was no reason to keep the vampire now, so he let it go. Maybe they would pay again when they had a new pack of vampires.
