"Wake up you crazy ol' woman! What's wrong with you again today? Why are you so much trouble?"
Nurse Mary's voice makes Zelda cringe with fear.
"I don't mean to trouble anyone! Did Dr. Hahn's pills take my light the other day? Please help me get it back! Please!"
"Nobody here plays into delusions, no special treatment here, get up or no breakfast!"
Zelda stares at morning soup, a tiny bubble reflects light as she watches it grow. "It's back!" She wants to share in the day room. Nurse Mary's needle outweighs Dr. Hahn's pills!
The light must stay secret.

I really like this part of the story. It does a good job at making the mad woman sympathetic, and Nurse Mary a cruel villain.

I can't say too much, but we don't know how much we can trust someone who hides their meds with bad intent (maniacal laugh) LOL :)

Very good, Kathy. I like these 'Zelda' drabbles.

@Bryan, thanks! I had a bit of thought on names for the nurse to be plain and hers to be unusual, so I appreciate you noting that as well!! She's not done (bwaaah) LOL
