Magic #87

"But, but you're the Oracle! You tell futures and things!" Spluttered Skaran.

She smiled. "Time is full of eddies, ripples and currents. It is not immutable, it is as water in a river. The appearance of the Augury blinds me." She looked back at William. "Your fate is what you make of it. Follow the teachings of Master Tellerick. Listen closely to the whispers of Amethyst, and be patient with Master Barnabas." He nodded. "Good. Trust your friends William. They will always be there for you." She stepped back. "I also believe Mistress Amethyst needs her shopping list filled out?"

I'm really glad you're enjoying this Drew. Thanks for all the other comments. Much appreciated 😄 You too Neville! I liked your reference to bed linen 😉

Thanks Jeff. With this particular spelling of augur, Jeff, there’s absolutely no chance of getting bored.

No need, Jeff... I already have a variety of auger bits for my brace and used to use them frequently on my cabinetmaking hobby, which has been on hold for a while (too many cabinets in production in my shed that no-one wants because they’re made from dark wood... but maybe they’ll come back into fashion one day🤞)

I looked it up, Jeff. I've heard the phrase "That doesn't augur well for the future" before but I didn't know that was how it was spelled. So I learned something new. Loving this, by the way. I was away for quite a bit but I'm almost caught up with everything here. I won't stay away that long anymore, come what may, because it takes too long to get back current with everyone's postings!
