The creature was as huge, as it was ponderous. Snow dust whipped about its flanks, as it slowly moved its mountainous bulk on rock-like and boulderous legs.

Atop its shell, in the gathered earth and moss, a tiny cottage sat amongst the rolling trees. A thin whisp of black smoke rose from its chimney, only to be swept away by the harsh winter wind. Candle-light flickered in the darkness from behind drawn curtains that gently moved in time with the leviathan beast below.

Kralla squinted her tigers' yellow eyes, trying to gauge the distance in the driving snow.

    Fantastic glimpse into another world, Jeff. (Dare I hope the start of a series?) Beautifully done, too.
