A fresh song from the Elvis A.I. was streaming from the net, as Sandra bopped her way across the kitchen with a left-over lab-grown chicken drumstick from the previous night.

Wasn't too often she got a day off, and today was a great day. The Sun was shining in a cloudless sky, the air pollution index was low, as was the pollen index. The back door was unsealed, and a fresh breeze blew the smell of freshly mown grass inside.

She quickly poked her head out, and smiled at the mower as it sat digesting its grassy meal.

Love it. A taste of things to come. Glad Elvis has survived the passage of time, albeit artificially. :-)

It won't take long Neville :) They'll start reverse phoneme engineering the vocal tracks of the old stars, duplicate the styles of their song writers. Boom! The oldies are back! Although I think that David Bowie might need a few different versions. One for each period ;)

Lab-grown meat is already on the horizon once they've figured out mass production. We already have things like the Amazon Echo (Get one, it's brill!) and the Google Home. It's not too far fetched for the lawn mower to digest the grass cuttings and recharge.

Just a fun, sci-fi, day off. I've become addicted to Japanese Slice-o-life anime ;)

Great drabble, Jeff. It puts me in mind of The Jetsons. I'm still waiting for those flying cars and my own personal Rosie the Robot.

Amazon Echo?... I have two... one is permanently switched off now and the other has never come out of its packaging 🥴. But that’s because the first one started to get too effin intrusive. I might even drabble that🤔 ‘Day Off’ wasn’t way off!
