Sickle-bun

"It's a sickle-bun."

"A what?" I asked, looking at the sickle moon shaped bun.

"A sickle-bun! It's got chocolate and golden syrup inside." She smiled.

"Er... Ok."

"Are you going to try it?"

"Er... So it's like a funny shaped doughnut?"

"Yeah! Except it's not a doughnut. It's a sweet baked bread."

I wasn't sure, and my expression must have been telling.

"You wanted new experiences. So just try it. Think of it like foreign food. Stick it in your mouth and hope for the best." She said, grinning.

I took a bite. It was sweet, but good!
