That pub, one on Main street
You walked past it in the rain
Under comforting sunshine
Never noticed that little door
Windows cast in with cloudy vision to
Another, hazy world.
One where a group of twenty-four
Year olds are harassed by a woman showing all
Wanting more
Where you cannot take a step without
'Scuse me, mind out please,
People crowded out the front door
Next time you pass by, whole street
A line down from there to Tesco's
Local. Thousands of loves made and killed
In there, don't you know.
And you walked past to your destination.
