Addressing Maggots

The devil within is the greatest foe,
- sometimes ‘played’ by those you know.
They taunt and tease, and string along,
Provoke, cajole, to see you wrong.
Then all at once the tables turn,
As they clap and laugh and watch you burn,
Alight with anger, lost, ablaze,
One victim more - in wicked game.

But up your skills and patience learn,
Bide your time and make them yearn,
Careful tread, and steady go,
Shine your truth so others know,
Their wicked plots were raised on lies,
Let them to burn and light the skies.

And the devil just fades to grey..
