‘Never trust a story,’
Said Santa to his wife.
‘They always ruin Christmas,
They’re sure to ruin mine.’
‘Whatever are you saying?’
Said Mrs Klaus, surprised,
‘That story is our business,
And it’s always seen us fine!’
‘Have you lost your tiny, marbles?’
Santa asked his wife.
‘We spread the Christmas spirit,
And all they spread is strife!’
‘But think of all the children!
‘You’ve surely lost your mind?’
‘They love the Christmas Story,
And read it all the time.’
‘Never Trust a Tory,
Is actually what I said,
You think I’ve lost my marbles?
Tis you, that’s bloody deaf!’
