According to police, somebody tipped the contents of the suitcase discovered
on the side of the highway. Perhaps a victim of too many gangster movies, the getaway car jettisoning cash during a pursuit. Gripping the zipper of the faded canvas and tugging it open, filled with hope, but a Pandora's box of misery exposed. One pink shoe, a black tutu, the small pink pants spilling and the suitcase dropped. Somebody ran. Others reported they saw a man carrying a similar case weeks earlier. Somebody must have noticed her missing. Perhaps missing years ago. Somebody must be missing her. Somebody, somewhere.
