They sat together and listened. The speaker confessed that she had never
had the disease but that she had worked with many who had, and she felt
she had an understanding. She asked if they opposed the term, and added that if she could, she would call them "thrivers." She wanted to empower them. Give them back some control. She talked about the physical and emotional signs of depression and fatigue. Said there came a time to find new meaning in life. Be open to change. Talk about issues.
When the session ended, they walked back into the dark night.

    Love the short sentence structure, especially the line "Be open to change" and the confession they never battled the disease in question. Good job!
