Barbara looked pissed as the guy asked, "How long have you been working here?"

Barbara chuckled, "What business is that of yours?"

"Just curious. You make small talk with your customers, don't you?"

"Well... yes, but..."

"Well, I'm a customer. So I'm asking... How long have you been here?"

She looked out the window as an eighteen-wheeler rolled past.

"Fifteen years," she said with a sadness that could fill the universe.

"Is this where you wanna end up?" he asked as he took a bite of his donut.

"Is this where anybody wants to end up, mister?" she asked...
