I walked around to the back of the house and jumped the fence. It was still daylight so I had to be careful not to be seen. I cautiously eased my way up to the back door and peered through the window into what was presumably a living room. It looked like time had stopped in about 1920. I could see an old RCA Victrola in a corner with a bunch of 78 R.P.M. records stacked up beside it. The furniture looked like stuff you could've easily picked up for a song and dance at a Salvation Army charity shop...

I have to admit that the very first record I bought was a 78 rpm one! On the Columbia label - Michael Holliday ‘The Story of my Life’ 1958! I am sure I still have it as I never throw out anything with a memory attached... I just listened to it again on YouTube.... 😬... what was I thinking of? But I was only young 🥴

I just listened to it on YouTube myself. It's not too bad, especially for that time. I wouldn't care to hear it again, but it's not bad!

‘I wouldn’t care to hear it again.’ Hehe! Me neither!
