Jen Ann stopped right in the middle of the kitchen. She turned to look at me and said, "Why, Jake? Who's doing this?"

"That's what I'm still trying to find out. After I left the crime scene I went back to see Debra's brother Horace. He wants to kill Nicky Minga. He thinks Minga's responsible for Debra's death."

"Do you think that?" she asked as she got the casserole out of the oven.
