I grinned, "Well, I may have to go backstage, but I can assure you I won't be getting friendly with the girls."

"Good," she said.

"Let me ask you something. What's your take on the lady who runs Hoofers?"

"Linda Erickson?" she asked. "She seems to be desperate for male attention. And she doesn't seem to like girls too much."

"How do you mean?"

"Well, she just treats us like an afterthought. She flocks to any man that comes in there for dance lessons."

"Yeah, I got the same treatment."
