"Hello," I said, going into actor mode, "my name's Jacob Hamm. My sister lives here. Her name is Molly Hamm. I just got in from Cleveland. I knocked on the door but no one answered."

He looked me in the eyes. I couldn't tell if he was trying to determine if I was telling the truth or if he just didn't want to tell me my sister was missing.

He kept staring so I said, "Do you think you could let me in so I can wait for her? I had a long journey and I'm tired."

He just chuckled...
