The Problem Solver #2

by

Robert Townley was scuba diving for the first time. After he'd been acquitted in America for defrauding hundreds of elderly people out of their retirements with a hedge fund scheme, he planned a long vacation in the Maldives.

Now he was out on a boat in the pristine blue waters of the Indian Ocean preparing for his debut dive. His instructor was going down with him that first time.

He was down a few minutes and then began to feel funny and started clawing at his face, suffocating. He looked at me, his instructor.

I just smiled and swam away.

Breathtaking! Another full story told with efficiency and style. Setup tells the context; finale tells it all! I’m liking these, Christopher; more soon please!

Yes, this is a really great short story, neatly fitting into the 100 word limit. Excellent, as Neville says, more of these please.

Bad career choice (Though I don't feel that sorry for the problem solvers' victims in this case.). Great story. :-)

Not only does he get paid for the hit, but he gets a holiday in the Maldives too!
