I made it to Benjamin O'Reilly's hospital room. He's the lawyer that got Robert Townley acquitted. Townley's the hedge fund manager that bilked a lot of old people out of their retirements. Anyway, O'Reilly was in for a simple procedure.
I was hired to kill O'Reilly. Some call me a hitman. I think of myself more as a solver of problems.
Anyway, I stole a doctor's coat and slipped into O'Reilly's room. I took the syringe loaded with an untraceable poison and injected it in his IV line.
I had just left the room when he flatlined.
Next target: Townley.

This is going to be a series of standalone drabbles about a hitman. I wanted to see if I could tell the whole story in one drabble. The first two are loosely connected but they stand on their own as well.

Oh my! Short, concise and efficient! You certainly got a whole story, back story and more than a glimpse of the future in this one, Christopher! Excellent stuff... and I don’t have to wait to read the sequel😁...

This has got me wary of any new Doctors at my workplace. :-)

I read out your Breakfast in Bed drabble today, Christopher. (naming... well first name... and giving you full credit of course) to a group at a local arts festival this afternoon. It went down really well! (as I was sure it would!😁)
