Dear Mother Tucker #1

by

Dear Mother Tucker,

I've never written to an advice column, but I'm at my wits' end. My husband is perpetually in a bad mood, yells at the kids and never helps around the house. Any advice?

Dear Distraught in Detroit,

Being supportive and kind helps in situations with disagreeable spouses. And poisoning their coffee a little each day. People tend to be more agreeable when they think they're dying. And if it doesn't work, keep upping the dosage until you have no more trouble at all! Good luck!

And remember, don't mess with a crazy Mother Tucker!

I find that having little standalone drabble series's helps my creativity better than just coming up with an idea for a drabble from scratch. So here's another series.

Thanks, Neville. I don't want this place to dry up so I'm going to have to put my money where my mouth is and start trying to post every day.

I must try to do the same! As I think I said in another comment, I’ve undertaken to run a workshop on writing in general and writing drabbles in particular for an open air theatre in my village and that should help getting me restarted. I’m still saddened that Drew has not been around for quite some time. He is a master of drabbling, but that aside, I’m worried about him and hope he’s OK, with or without Drablr.🤞

Yeah, I hope Drew is okay. I'm still hoping he'll get the itch and come back someday.

Maybe the site owner can buzz Drew and make sure he's OK? I do hope so. And I hope that Drew is OK as well. I need to try and pick up the pace again as well, but it's so easy to fall into the trap of "Doing other stuff"
