Peter, working feverishly on his term paper about febricity, told his roommate Dick, "I need a word that's synonymous with interchangeable."
Dick replied, "Synonymous." / "Yes."
"That's the word you're looking for" / "Yes!"
"Then what's the problem?" / "I need the word!" Peter replied.
"You've got it." / "What?"
"The word." / "What word?"
"Synonymous with interchangeable."
"That's what I'm asking you!" / "I just told you."
"Told me what?" / "Synonymous."
"Arrgh!" / "Synonymous is tantamount to interchangeable"
"Tantamount!" Peter yelled. "Why didn't you suggest that in the first place instead of repeating synonymous like a demented parrot?"

I hope this drabble isn't too hard to read. I had to use forward slashes in between the texts to get them on the same line because it took me half an hour to get this posted because it kept telling me it was too long, but the character count and the word count was right. I didn't know if you had too many lines in the drabble it wouldn't post it then either. I've never had that happen before.

The drabble works OK as it is, Christopher... and it’s a lexicographic delight!

Hi Christopher. Late to the party I know but This just gave me a laugh, thanks! I've been driven
mad by automated word count disputes in the past, glad you got the piece through ! ;-)

Thanks, Jamie. No problem in being late. I've had so much on me lately I haven't been here much. I've got to get back to drabbling regularly. I miss it. I've got to force myself to make time for it.
