"It's a hard thing to see a marriage end, isn't it?" he said as he looked at his wife for what he knew would be the last time.
He knew he needed to let it all out. He continued, "I mean, I don't know how we grew apart. I know we always had issues, arguments and occasionally physical altercations, but that's marriage, isn't it?"
He stroked her hair and smiled at her.
"You always did say one of these days I'd be the death of you, didn't you, baby?" he said as he dumped her lifeless body in the river.
