Did I want to do that? No. Was it dangerous? Absolutely. Did it seem the only way to reunite Katie with her father? No question about it.
So there I sat trying to figure out a way to lure Gallagher into a position where he could be confronted without too much of his muscle in tow.
"Jake," Dolan said, "if you're willing to risk your life for Katie and me then I'm willing to go with you."
"Me too," Nelson said.
I nodded, "Thanks. But we've got to figure a plan out first. We can't just waltz up to Gallagher."

But hold on a minute, Jake. Suddenly these two scumbags are your best, loyal buddies?

I think Jake realized that, even though Max isn't exactly on the right side of the law, he does love his daughter and just wants to be reunited with her. I might have glossed over that a little too much. I needed to establish a little more solidly that Gallagher was responsible for killing those men and not Max. I'm still finding my groove after being away from it for so long.

No worries Christopher. My comments are mainly to demonstrate how engaged I am with your story. 😊

Well, I'm thinking I may have rushed this a little bit because I wanted it to take place in just two or three days.
