Harrigan looked up at me, "And why would that matter to you, Randolph?"

I put my palm flat against my chest, "Harrigan! A member of the community in which I was born and raised is plowed over in the streets and you have the unmitigated audacity to ask why it would matter to me?"

Harrigan said coolly, "Randolph, you seem to forget how well I know you. There's an angle to everything you do. And it usually involves a case you're working on."
