Deborah had told me that the vice president of the company, Nick Berman, had gotten real chummy with ole' Morty and that she thought he was the one who turned Morty onto Mr. Saint.
Mr. Saint. That was another obstacle with this case. Hopefully the info I gave Harrigan before I left the States was enough for them to get on his trail and nail him.
The other piece of the puzzle was latent roadkill Phil Garfield. I was going to have to ask Harrigan when I got back if they'd turned up anything else about the hit-and-run...

Don’t apologise on either count Christopher, memory joggers are good (which has jogged my own memory) and I can’t get enough Jake episodes at breakfast time, particularly on a Sunday morning! Seems like Jake has a lot of tricky work coming up....
