The Previous Owner #47

by

The old man got up and laid his money on the counter and started to walk to the door, then stopped and turned around.

"Maybe Mrs. Finch is trying to tell you something, son. Maybe all the answers you seek are right within the walls of that house."

He turned and opened the door, the bell clanging as he exited.

I looked at the door for a few seconds. Maybe he was right. Maybe all the answers I sought were in the house.

I got up, turning back to Mo. "I'll see you later, Mo."

"I certainly hope so, Teddy."

I really admire all you who write a continuing series and name each one. Usually with Jake I just name them all the name of the story and put part 1, part 2, etc. It's very hard coming up with a name for each drabble in a series.

It’s just a question of practice and luck. Sometimes a great headline leaps out and then you’re OK for a few headlines being average. But, it’s the actual story that matters most and this one’s really intriguing. Could be trouble down the line... or rather will be I guess.

Thanks, Drew and Neville. Hopefully I can have it done in the next few days. I know exactly what I want to do but blocking out enough time to finish it has been rough.
