Bourbon On The Rocks #118

by

I made a mental note to see if Sharkey was in town when I got all this mess sorted out. Maybe he could help me with Bobby Diamond. I knew then why loan sharking was the one industry in the L.A. underworld that Diamond wasn’t the kingpin of. It was because Sharkey was running that. And Sharkey could chew Bobby Diamond up and spit him out without even breaking a sweat.

“So anyway,” Milton continued, “I’ve known about your profession for a while, but I didn’t want to bother you. But then Paige was murdered and I had no choice.”

This is a nice turn in the story and the re-introduction of Sharkey is excellent. It could be another case of what goes round comes round for Jake(y!). Still keeping up the excitement Christopher and this back story might even change my mind about weasel Milton!🙂

Thanks, Neville. I've warmed up to Milton too which I didn't think would happen. His character and the arc of this story has veered off in a direction I wasn't planning, but I'm rolling with it.

Sorry you’re getting bored, Drew, but I’m sure I speak for Christopher too when I say we’re not bored with you saying it! 😊

Indeed we're not bored with you saying it! But I think I can speak for Neville this time when I say we miss your contributions here, Drew. Hopefully in the future you'll be able to devote some time again to posting drabbles.
