Bourbon On The Rocks #23

by

She came slinking out on the stage in a shiny red strapless dress. Her light brown hair was parted in the center and fell down in long loose waves onto her slender bare shoulders. The dress looked like it had been stretched over a giant Coca-Cola bottle. She had more curves than the roads going up Laurel Canyon. Dames like this one don't grow on trees. If Paige Turner was half the woman this one was I couldn't blame Milton for going all gooey over her.

"It had to be you, it had to be you..."

Man, I wish...

For those that don't remember, the original glass Coca-Cola bottles were sort of shaped like a woman.

Brilliant metaphor! There was a terrific PR photo some years back with the top of curvy pop superstar Kylie Minogue morphing into the Coke bottle. Guaranteed to be published!
    (extra ‘dress’ in line 1?)

Don’t quibble Neville, you grammar fuss pot, the story’s flowing brilliantly! Can Christopher keep it up? It looks like it to me. Yes Coke bottles have slimmed down too, like the archetypal modern woman.

Thanks, guys. I really appreciate the support.

And you're right, Neville. That's why I had 101 words and had to eliminate one! Thanks. I'll correct it and see if I can remember what word I had to take out!

I knew it! Shaped like a Coca Cola bottle. Indeed! Great description. See my eyes green with envy? Can't wait to read more :-D
