The Phyllis Diller concept reminded me of the real headline that appeared on the front page of The Sun, Britain’s notorious and leading tabloid newspaper back in March 1986, regarding comedian Freddie Starr. ‘Freddie Starr ate my hamster!’

Haha! Yeah, TV over here back in the 60's and when I was little in the 70's used to have local channels that would show really low budget movies and would have some local business, like a car dealership, sponsor the movie and would do all the ads for it. Really cheap ads done right on the premises of the business, often live during the breaks in the movie. It was just something I remembered as a kid. For better or worse, those days are long gone now.

I should, of course, have said Wunderbahn! Otto Bahn sounds feasible. After all there is Crockery Barn over there (where I bought some brilliant sweetcorn spikes (for eating corn). Still in regular use twelve years on.
