He started ascending; it felt like we were going straight up. Hall and I were sliding around on the floor, still vying for control of the gun. Hall slid toward the rear as the pilot leveled off the plane. Unfortunately, Hall was the one that wound up with the gun. We both stood up slowly.
"You've been nothing but trouble for me since the first day I laid eyes on you, Randolph. And I know you don't like me either. So, I'm about to do us both a favor and put you out of my misery."
He fired the gun...
