In a future where social media controls every aspect of human life, irrelevance is a crime punishable by imprisonment.
Cody Steel learned this the hard way. He was a model turned action movie star. He rode high on a wave of popularity for years. Until he had his first flop at the box office. His name was mud. He was quickly tried, convicted, imprisoned, forgotten.
He couldn't bear this indignation. They found him hanging by his neck in his cell.
His suicide trended all over social media. In a last bit of twisted irony, Cody Steel had become relevant again.
