No One Told Me...

No one told me that love would be this hard. No one told me that if it didn't work out I would be wandering around like a zombie, arms outstretched like a blind man stumbling through a crowd of people who aren't even aware of his existence. No one told me that the woman who said she would always be there would abscond like a thief in the night. Now she's gone and there's a picture of my heart on the back of a milk carton asking "Have you seen this?"

No one told me forever had an expiration date.
