The Note (2/2)

The Note #2

That night as I tried to sleep I kept hearing noises. I put it down to my imagination. Later in the night I got up to urinate and then went back to bed.

The next morning I found the front door to the cabin standing open. There was a note pinned to the door, scrawled with childlike printed lettering.

It read:

"You should secure your door better. And you should take care when you have your nightly piss break. You walked right past me and didn't know it."

I packed my belongings and left hurriedly without asking for a refund.

The Note #1

I rented a secluded cabin in the woods for the summer. I left after just one night.

Upon my arrival I saw a man in the woods, staring at me. I put him down as a hiker, as they were known to frequent this area. I waved at him and he waved back.

After dark I went out to smoke a cigar and look at the stars and I again saw the same man in the woods, just staring at me. I waved again, only this time he didn't wave back. He just disappeared into the blackness of the woods.
