Jaga Jazzist: A Livingroom Hush Pt. 11--Cinematic

Jaga Jazzist

In this empty room, Anthony had nothing but his thoughts, and he thought about himself. Was this just another bad decision? Why does he make so many bad decisions anyway? In his whole life, it seems that he has no self-control, and without it, his life is going nowhere. Its as though this one quality is making him drink until he throws up, go to raves, and do mind-altering drugs. He should change, and he hopes for the chance to. The door reappears. The Livingroom Hush has been fixed. Anthony opens the door, realizing it also fixed him.

Anthony stepped through the doorway, and immediately felt an intense rush through his entire body.

Fire seemed to rush through his veins, simultantiously burning and melting his insides.

His eyes seemed to spin completely around in his head, as his body convulsed in the room's radiation.

"Oh God! What is this place?!" he cried.

Anthony cried out more from the pain, but never in as clear of words.

The intensity soared higher and higher, never relenting, never feeling any better.

He ran around the room, gripping his head and trying to make it stop.

And, suddenly, all of it did.

"Back?" asked Anthony, "What do mean? I was there before?"
"When you were here before, you went inside despite our trying to keep you out, and somehow disturbed its balance. Since we are non-violent, we can't kill you even though you've showed up again, so instead we are going to have you fix whatever you did in there."
Anthony couldn't believe what he was hearing right now. The whole thing sounded crazy.
"Okay, which way is it?" he asked.
"Our door is right in front of you. And don't worry about your body. It won't matter once your inside."

The chase was on. Anthony took off away from the group of men. Still tired, Anthony knew he could not keep going much further. Distracted, by this and the mob, Anthony tripped and fell on the sidewalk, and the impact took the little energy he had left. Surrounded by the gang of men, Anthony suddenly felt very small, and wondered why he always made such stupid decisions, whether it was coming here or the party the night before. Just before the mob was to attack, another group came and fired into the air, dissipating the mob and saving Anthony's life.

While Anthony and skateboarder descended down streets and through the dark tunnels of the alleys, the two were approaching the heart of the city that only vagabonds and criminals usually see. As they rounded a corner, they came across abandoned buildings, all of which had roughened individuals lingering outside of them. They were watching the two with glaring eyes that seemed like targeting lasers. Soon, one of them stepped out, knocked Anthony off his skateboard and asked and said, "What the hell do you think your doing here, huh?!" Anthony didn't bother answering, but just got up and started running.

Not used to walking this much, especially after a night like the one before, Anthony found himself fatigued once he arrived at the store. He sat down on a bench outside rest and thought of what he absolutely needed today, since he would be unable to carry much. Soon after, a skateboarder that looked familiar to Anthony sat down next to him. Anthony tried to avoid his gaze, so as to avoid further embarrassment. Nonetheless, the skateboarder looked at him and asked quietly, "Are you Anthony?"
"Yes, but how..?"
"I know where it is."
"Where what is?"
"The Livingroom Hush"

As Anthony walked to the store, he saw a few skateboarders go by him, and he thought again of that night. Seemingly by coincidence, a man on the street walked up to him and said, "Hey, your that guy from the party! The one that kicked out! Do you remember me?" Of course, Anthony did not, but after talking with him, Anthony learned the club had kicked him out for yelling "I'm gonna find this Livingroom Hush, you just wait and see." Now Anthony was intrigued. What is the Livingroom Hush, and why was he so anxious to find it?

Once Anthony was done with his bizarre story, everyone in the room was speechless. Anthony felt the sudden urge to leave, since it was obvious no one in the room would want to speak to him for a while. He left the house embarrassed and wondering if he was okay. After all, he had just thought telling his friends, who already disliked his partying, was a good idea. Anthony just went back his apartment, a bit depressed. Unfortunately for him, his car would towed later that day, and he needed groceries too. He supposed he'd have to go on foot.

"We were freaking out last Saturday night. I don't even know what we were really doing, but it seemed like fun. I'm telling you, that rave really screwed me up. All I can remember is getting drunk, high, and losing my mind to some insane techno music. Next thing I know, I wake up in the middle of a skate park with Chinese characters all over the place and some guy saying 'Dude, you must have been wasted last night.' The worst part was that when I looked down, I couldn't find my pants and I had to run home."
