Not An End Only A Beginning

by

Her whole life's a blur. The embedded memories etched inside in crystalline clarity. The ones she wishes she can't remember. The ones she wishes she can't forget. Birth and death. A catalyst for tomorrow. At least she has a tomorrow. A tomorrow she can trust. The only person she can trust. Herself.

She binds herself against the cold like an ageing actress against the glare of a hostile society. She's too young to be so jaded. Too young for such scars. Too young to feel so alone. Alone in such a crowded city. A city that could so easily forget.
