I watched her quickly cover herself up. A few strokes of bright yellow on the seemingly needy gray. I wished I could find her out in that mess she surrounded herself in and pull her out of the self portrait. Make her see what she really looked like when she entered a room. Then she'd know no matter how bright a yellow she used, watercolors always mix, always give away the backstory. I wished I could hold her by her hands and say 'darling, you're trying too hard for the masterpiece you're trying to create is nothing but your reflection.'

It's funny how you can see the needlessness of doubt in other people, but not often in yourself. Everyone needs to stand outside themselves and become their own artist for a while, maybe. Superbly done Priya, love it.
