Rubik's Cube

I got it for Christmas in 1981. We all had a go with it. My cousin took the middle stickers off mine, popped the plastic square off and took it to bits; For years I thought he’d actually solved the puzzle.
There were programmes on telly- young kids twisting with an alarming dexterity. Their hands lost a frenzied rainbow blur. It became a playground competition thing- I can do it in ten minutes, I can do it in two.
Anyway, I’ve just solved it! It’s taken me 21,965,760 minutes so I maybe need to work on my speed a bit.
