He flipped 10p into the hat of the homeless guy outside Waitrose. He got it, there wasn’t much he didn’t know about struggles. He wanted to swap stories, share experiences. He knew discomfort, suffering, he’d spent a week now with a broken heated towel rail. He span it into a story then a joke and laughed loudly.
When is a towel rail just a towel rail? When a heated towel rail breaks.
He felt great, so good he wanted to go and put another coin in the hat. But he had dry cleaning to collect and a massage at ten.

    Very generous Nige, but whilst charity may not begin at home, there are limits.
