Quiet. Midnight. Little Red tiptoed through the trees miles from Grandma’s cottage. She wasn’t lost though.
She knew the big bad wolf pursued her.
She wasn’t scared but clasped her basket tighter. A cake and sharp knife to cut it nestled inside.

His paws padded on the forest floor behind as she stopped put the cake on a mossy stump. He sniffed the air, ran a tongue over glinting teeth and approached a little quicker.

Little Red was poised; the full moon reflected in her knife. A howl pierced the silence as she cut and got her new fur coat

Wowee! A very, very welcome return, Lisa. I thought we’d lost you for good! Hope you and yours are well. Great drabble to arrive back with, economy and body. Love ‘A howl pierced the silence...’!
(Wonder if Little Red will scare the life out of Granny if she rolls up in her new garb? All the more tea for Little Red😋).
Hope you’ll be able to stay, Lisa. In need of good reading material.

Actually I’ve just realised that Little Red’s hardly going round to Granny’s after Midnight..

Hi LIsa. This one is fantastic! I howled of laughter at the end. Yes, I hope you'll be posting more again.
A big thanks to Neville for holding up the ford, though. 😉 since most of us went AWOL for a while.

Thanks Lisa and , gee thanks, Frenchie! I think this lockdownishness is far from giving people opportunities to write, but rather curbing enthusiasm. As a seasoned enthusiast, it seems to be my duty to try to keep going. If there’s nobody around to read them, I send links to my family and friends whether they like it or not! 😁

Haha! A belated welcome back, Lisa. I messaged you on Goodreads to let you know we missed you here but I never received a reply. I strayed myself for a few months but I'm back now.

I think I'm slowly getting back to normal. Well, normal for me, anyway.
