Addicted

“I’m finding this hard. My name’s Katie. I think I need the toilet." She stood as Richard nodded at her, took her phone from the basket as she left.

“My name's Penny. It’s Porn.” Said a middle aged woman to my left. “I can’t help myself.”

The room was deathly quiet. Our heads were bowed as if in prayer.

Katie didn’t come back. A phone bleeped from the basket and it caused looks of longing around the circle. We found out more about ourselves.

Some didn’t sleep.
One had stopped going out.

We tried not to judge but naturally did.
