He smirked as he passed the book over to me. You’ll enjoy. And never eat Turkish delight without thinking of it again.

I coloured as I returned it. He raised a finger up to his lips to shhh! (Ever the librarian.) And handed me a ribbon tied box. Rose and Lemon. Sugar dusted. The red crept down and flushed my neck as I remembered the scene in the book.

“Did you enjoy it?” He’s asking so much more.

I nod. Fumble unsuccessfully for words.

“Maybe we could try it together?” He looks at the box. “I’m finishing in five minutes.”
