How everything can change in just an hour. News, good and bad, that shakes the soles of your slippers.
A labour, blessedly short, which leaves you searching for the instruction manual for months after. A car crash taking not just loved ones but actually all that was taken for granted. Burglary (It didn’t matter it was only things) A stolen kiss between lovers punctuating an ordinary day. The arrival and departure of a beloved pet. A roof taken by a storm leaving you prone and exposed.
Accidents. Excitements. Rocking all you hold true. Slipping your very soul from its axis.

This is brilliant, Lisa, so full of things one can identify with. Carpe diem et carpe urtica.

Well done, Lisa, it's what I would have done. I once wrote a drabble about 'urtication' ....an interesting practice. Damn clever those Romans! :-)

Have now googled that too- think nettles will be appearing in the witches garden soon. Nature is marvellous X

Was suffering at the time from chronic eczema which caused constant itching on my legs and associated scratching etc. I genuinely thought urtication might be preferable to mask the itching. Guess where Skin Deep came from :-)
(Or is that too much information?)
