She shivered as she perched on his desk. Her silk dress caressed her body perfectly but offered no protection against the evening's chill. Sounds drifted in from the family party outside.
"D’you still have the flat?" Looking at his face, she was amazed she'd not seen the resemblance sooner.
"You know they mustn’t find out about us!" Her eyes hadn't lost that intoxicating sparkle.
Their eyes locked as they remembered all they'd shared. He hadn't thought about her for years. Yet, here she was in his house, about to marry his son and suddenly he needed her more than ever.

Oh dear! This sounds like it could be a mini series. It's a very neat drabble that prompts so much thought about back story and projecting forward. Very good, Lisa.
