It was his eyes. Everyone agreed. Everyone who dared admit having let him hold their gaze.

The colour of Rubin’s grey eyes were not so special. But what was different was how they would lock-on to things, and people. Piercing eyes. A casual glance at his face would inevitably result in a second glance, at which point, his lock-on stare was impossible to ignore.

Rubin’s eyes could strip bare his victims’ very souls. But every time he looked in the mirror it wasn’t his own soul he saw, but the soul of an ass. A complete ass soul.

Don't believe Johnathon Richman that he was never called it. :-))

Well Jamie, I’ve learnt about someone new, and a band I didn’t know, but you’ve got me scratching my head. Does Jonathon Richman have piercing eyes, or have I missed the point?

Hi Neville. Jonathon Richman wrote a song about Pablo Picasso which contained the line 'He was only five foot three. Women could not resist his stare, so Pablo Picasso was never called an Asshole. '

Just checked out "Pablo Picasso" by The Modern Lovers. I had been previously unaware of it too. But isn't it amazing how what we come up with, subconsciously, connects with what others have done before us.

Ha! Okay, this was where I checked out eight months ago, so I'm checking back in. Hopefully it won't take eight months to catch up on my reading.
