I’ve been considering a career change. I’d make a great barrister! After all, I’ve a lifetime of experience propping up the bar in my local.

Over the years I’ve learnt many terms and concepts of the law. I know the difference between GBH, ABH... and that Bea Smith’s Top Dog on Prisoner Cell Block H. I know that robbery with intent isn’t restricted to campsites. I’m politically correct too. I know all about mens rea... and womens rea too!

My mentors include Perry Mason, Atticus Finch, Ally McBeal, Judge Rinder and Grouty and Fletch from Porridge.

I'm sure you'd make a great litigator. Man, Prisoner Cell Block H! That used to come on here when I was about ten and those women scared the hell out of me! It came on late night and I never watched it but I would see the ads for it. Yikes!

Thanks Christopher. I used to watch Prisoner Cell Block H at Midnightish while I French caned chairs (one of my practical hobbies).

There are a few British references, e.g GBH and ABH (Grievous bodily harm and actual bodily harm) and Porridge, a very famous, long running and funny series of TV series based in a prison (porridge is slang for time in prison)... and Fletch was the funny antihero and Grouty the evil old git whom all the prisoners kowtowed to.

Yeah, I watched a few episodes of Porridge (at your request) a while back. It was pretty good.
