Another funeral last week. The saddest we’ve ever attended... but that’s another story. It got me thinking how I’d like to be remembered. If I’m worth remembering.
Here’s my mental checklist:
Maybe my wit and bonhomie? Nah! That’s just witful thinking!
What about my creativity? I’ve always got great feedback! Nah! They lied!
What about my good looks? What do you mean “What good looks?”
How about my sporting prowess? OK... nothing to crow about there!
What about my innate modesty? Or maybe not!
The best I can strive for is being kind. But that’s not for me to say..

I'm sure you will be remembered very fondly, but hopefully that's a long time away! Sorry, another one I missed. Lisa posted one yesterday and I missed hers too.

Neville, you were the first to discover me here, and I can’t express my gratitude enough. You’ve been very kind, patient, encouraging… even more to strangers and I can only imagine the how kind and modest you be might be to your close one’s.

This is what my grandma Ti and my mom used to say, be and see on how you want to be remembered…

Thank you very much, Verity! And thanks Christopher. I love Drablr... I’m a real drabbling bore. But what I like best about it is probably making comments on others’ drabbles... and the chat that sometimes ensues.
