Spanish treat

“We’re planning to share between two. How many dishes should we order?” I asked.

“Between six and eight,” the waitress replied, “ten is too many!” Helpful, as we’d never eaten tapas at Los Reyes before.

“Seven then.” I compromised... after all it was my birthday treat!

We ordered two vegetable, two fish and two meat plates plus a ‘snack’... and waited. Then... plates flew at us like Olympic discuses, in no obvious order, barely fitting on our tiny table... no let up! The ‘snack’ was a whole meal for two.

We were quickly beaten!. Tapas? It darned well poleaxed us!
