Vincent Van Gogh
Lopped his lug off
And found it difficult to hear
But could always lend an ear.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Numbered for the most part
His works with a K
(He was funny that way).

Schubert wrote melodies
For his ‘Schubertiad’ parties
Another no Opus was he
Numbering works with a D.

Archimedes jumped in his bath
Displacing water, what a laugh
‘Eureka’ he cried to those gathered below
As his weight of water found somewhere to go.

Copernicus was a clever one
Saying the planets orbit the Sun
Trashing Ptolomy’s precursor
That the case was vice-versa.

Thanks Jamie. I wrote some of these years and years ago and for some reason my memory was jogged yesterday.

Thanks Christopher. They’re just silly little laughs, but quite fun to write!
